The ruling party aims to counter what it calls an increasingly hostile independent media.
Zanu pf will shortly set up community radio station across the all provinces and provide particularly rural masses an additional platform for Zanu pf to involve the people in national and other political developments.
Independent operators were constantly denied the right to set up television broadcast stations, licensing and the right set up community radio stations by Mugabe’s Zanu pf regime.
Opposition are at the very least insisting on fair coverage of all parties by ZBC but argue ZBC is biased in favour of the Zanu pf.
Mnangagwa is clearly accepting that cyber space is the future battlefield of political activity and Zanu pf must use electronic media tools such as website, Twitter, YouTube and live streaming to reach the people.
It is important that the people do not give the ‘ruining’ party that space which we won against all odds and all together successfully brought down Mugabe.
