At least 235 people have been killed after suspected militants set off a bomb and opened fire at a mosque in Egypt’s restive northern Sinai province.

It is reported that at least two explosions were set off in the Mosque and worshippers began to flee outside only to be cut down by gunmen who were waiting outside the mosque in SUV vehicles as they fled the unfolding horror at Friday prayers. This is said to be the worst terrorist attack in the history of Egypt. The Egyptian government has declared three days of National Mourning after this horrendous attack. More news to follow.
