Former Bosnian Serb military general “Butcher of Bosnia” (74), was today found guilty of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, by the ICC and jailed for life
Former Bosnian Serb military general commonly referred to as the “Butcher of Bosnia”, was today found guilty of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, by the ICC in its last case of prosecution as it will close down next month.
The 74 year old Ratko Mladic was sentenced to life in prison after courts determined that Mladic was guilty of commanding forces responsible for crimes which include the horrendous atrocities of Bosnia‘s 1992-95 war in a deadly three-year siege of Sarajevo the Bosnian capital.
He was found guilty of 10 out of 11 charges relating to the 1995 massacre of at least 8,000 Muslim men and boys in Srebrenica in what is Europe’s worst mass killing since World War II.
The sentencing of Mladic to life in prison for the mass killings, leaves Zimbabweans questioning, as peaceful as we want to be, is it fair to let him walk free for torture, jailing, murder, ruining the economy and forcibly exiling millions of Zimbabweans in a wide range of genocides including gukurahundi, chiadzwa, murambatsina and 2008 elections.
Mugabe, securocrats and others in the circle including the incoming President Emmerson Mnangagwa are widely fingered by the international world for architecting and committing the most horrendous crime against humanity , hence the Discerning eye newzimbabwevision warning, that yes lets celebrate the departure of Mugabe, but remember his henchmen including Mnangagwa and securocrats have millions of looted wealth in diamonds, mines, businesses, multiple farms, wealth and power monopoly to protect, so, never should the people assume that things will change as its to these criminals benefit to perpetuate the system that Mugabe created and protected with their help,…never will they destroy their house and expose themselves to prosecution,…DISCUSS!
