Police Assault Rural Teachers Union & Arrest Protest Leaders
The traditionally brutal Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) swiftly descended upon the protesting teachers staging apeaceful demonstration in defiance to the Mugabe and his Zanu PF regime stance of not paying out their December 2016 wages and bonuses.
As the crowds approached Zimbabwe Parliament House, the police targeted and arrested amongst others,the Rural Teacher’s Union of Zimbabwe (RTUZ) President Obert Masaraure , Robson Chere and Pride Mukono the Rural teachers Union (RTUZ) programmes officer. newzimbabwevision will give updates as soon as we receive them.
