Seventy five passengers, were involved in a shocking bus incident when a Lacoste bus lost its rear wheels and landed on its side near Halfway on Vic falls -Bulawayo Road.
Seventy five passengers, were involved in a shocking bus incident when a Lacoste bus lost its rear wheels and landed on its side near Halfway on Vic falls -Bulawayo Road.
There are no reports of deaths or serious injuries. Traditionally, the run up to Christmas on Zimbabwe roads is a period of untold death due to accidents.
It is reported that the passengers and the driver, felt a sudden thud and then saw the rear wheels rolling past the past the bus. Although everyone could see the wheels now rolling in front of the bus, no one panicked and the driver controlled the vehicle safely and brought it to a stop, but unfortunately the load on the roof carrier tilted to one side at that point and forced the bus onto its side. The vehicle was not over loaded and had no standing passengers as it only had a total of 75 passengers within the vehicle sitting capacity. More news to follow. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
