‘Current Factionalism Signals Mugabe’s Loss Of Control And End Of Zanu PF’-Dumiso Dabengwa
ZAPU president Dumiso Dabengwa has revealed that the current factional fights dogging Zanu-PF were a signal that the end of the party is close.Dabengwa who walked out of Zanu-PF in 2008 said that Mugabe was a victim of his own arrogance, after he warned him to step down almost a decade ago but he allegedly threw caution to the wind.
Dabengwa said that it is now apparent that Mugabe has lost control of his warring party.
He also said that they failed to persuade him to leave the mantle to other leaders within the party as he completely resisted the idea.
Dabengwa went so far as to say that Mugabe’s continued stay in power was due to bad influence from some senior Zanu-PF hardliners who thrive on his continued stay as President. – Source-Daily News
