A car overturned at the 154 km peg along Harare-Mkukumbura road in Mt Darwin on Friday leading to police recovering Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) uniform, a Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) uniform and a fire arm.
A Toyota Runx vehicle registration number AEL 2832 driven by George Mupandare (41) overturned at the 154 km peg along Harare-Mkukumbura road in Mt Darwin on Friday.
George survived the accident with injuries but the other occupant of the vehicle Tendai Mupanze (26) died on the spot.
Several items were recovered from the crashed vehicle including a Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) uniform, a Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) uniform and a fire arm.
George was dashed to Mt Darwin hospital but after examination by nurses he fled unnoticed after spotting police. More news to follow. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
