Acie Lumumba a.k.a William Gerald Mutumanje, Heavily Assaulted In Bulawayo

The controversial, former Zanu PF official, Acie Lumumba, a.k.a William Gerald Mutumanje was reportedly, heavily assaulted in Bulawayo city on Friday.

He reported the assault to Bulawayo Central Police Station
represented by human rights lawyer Tineyi Mukwewa.

Mzingaye, who is a freelance journalist  was, reportedly  assaulted, in the incident and the accused are yet to be identified

Lumumbu  is a a highly controversial figure who left Zanu PF and launched his own opposition party to Mugabe’s Zanu PF  but he is charged with  undermining the authority of or insulting the president of Zimbabwe as stated under Section 33 (2) (b) of the Criminal Law.
