In what is seen as clear evidence of US two faced approach, where the US invades other nations on the pretext that they are abusing human rights, the US is evidently failing to protect the right to life of its marginalised citizens such as the Black and Hispanic races.

In USA , protesters were rallying against police brutality after two Black men were shot dead by police in separate incidents in the US this week.
A phone video by the girlfriend of the Black man, Philando Castile (32), lying wounded in a pool of blood , in his dying moments were shot by the man’s girlfriend in Minnesota, who gave a running commentary on the unfolding events and the resultant confusion as it developed.
The man’s girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds in the car, had her 4 year old daughter in the back seat. She calmly streamed the situation and her narration of the events live on facebook , as the officer stood over the dying man at gunpoint.
She pointed out that Philando Castile had been instructed by the officer to produce his licence and ID, and had advised the officer that he was armed and simply reaching for his license and registration, when the officer fired a volley of three to five shots at the victim who had simply been following orders.
The video trending live on you tube, tweeter and facebook showed police officers not giving any first aid to the dying Black man, while they handcuffed Ms. Reynolds and bundled her and her 4 year old daughter in the back of a police car.
In the ten minute video clip, the victim Philando Castile ‘s girlfriend who had filmed everything , becomes distressed, in the back of the police car and her 4 year old daughter comforts her, saying. “It’s O.K., Mommy,” “It’s O.K. I’m right here with you.”
The US president Barrack Obama was horrified by the shootings and reportedly acknowledged that this is not just a Black or Hispanic crisis but a US state issue where everyone should care about the crisis.
The US President Mr. Barrack Obama announced after arriving in Warsaw for a NATO convention, “When incidents like this occur, there’s a big chunk of our citizenry that feels as if, because of the colour of their skin, they are not being treated the same, and that hurts, and that should trouble all of us,” By Sibusiso Ngwenya
