Senior Millitary Officer & Wife Killed InKwekwe Accident On Harare Bulawayo Road

A senior Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) army officer reportedly died along with his wife in a horrendous accident outside Kwekwe City.

The ZNA officer Colonel Charles Matema, a director of civil military relations at ZNA KG6 Military HQ in Harare and his wife Patricia were proceeding to Harare to attend a wedding when  a truck failed to stop at agive way intersection and slammed into their vehicle on Saturday along the Harare Bulawayo highway.

Colonel Charles Matema and his wife Patricia were on their way to Harare for a wedding. The accident occured at the Gokwe turn-off. Col Matema was a director of civil military relations based at army headquarters in Harare.

Colonel Charles Matema and his wife Patricia died on the spot from the accident and their bodies are held at the  Kwekwe hospital mortuary, whilst the driver of the truck  from Gokwe, that caused the accident, by failing to give way, was seriously injured and hospitalised at  Kwekwe hospital.
