CHIEF NDIWENI OF NTABAZINDUNA , DOUSED his government allocated vehicle with fuel to stop Zanu pf youths taking away it.

Bulawayo city, yesterday witnessed an amazing incident when Zanu pf on Wednesday afternoon in the Bulawayo city centre chanting Zanu pf slogans, attacked the prominent Ndebele Chief Ndiweni of Ntabazinduna in a bid to take away his government allocated vehicle.
This follows, the chief’s calls recently when called for more Western sanctions on Zimbabwe, to pressure the Mnangagwa militarised Zanu pf regime . The Zimbabwe president Emmerson Mnangagwa was furious at Chief Ndiweni’s failure to conformto ZanuPF orders like other chiefs in the country. Ndiweni had demanded more Western sanctions on ZanuPF leaders whom he argued, were destroying Zimbabwe and the future of youths in the country.
Typical of Zanu pf brainwashed youths, a group of Zanu pf slogan chanting youths surrounded Chief Ndiweni’s government allocated vehicle yesterday in the Bulawayo city centre, and demanded that he should surrender the vehicle to them .
The threatening youths added that they had been sent by senior Zanu PF officials to retrieve the government issued vehicle from the chief, as clearly, the chief was not conforming like other traditional leaders to the militarised Mnangagwa Zanu pf regime, by failing to whip Ndebele subjects into line so that they vote for the ruling Mnangagwa Zanu pf regime in elections.
Chief Ndiweni, didnt hesitate, but calmly asked the youths if he could remove his belongings from the vehicle before surrendering it to the Zanu pf youths, then when they allowed him to do so, Chief Ndiweni instead grabbed a fuel filled jerry can from the car and poured petrol on the vehicle and calmly warned that, should the Zanu pf youths come any closer to the vehicle, he would set the vehicle alight.
The cowardly Zanu pf youths, retreated from the advance and Chief Ndiweni drove off at high speed. It is reported that the Zanu pf youths went on to report to the police and the police took the chief to Bulawayo Central Police Station though circumstance are still not clear as to whether this was for his protection or he was placed under arrest. A crowd that had built up around the scene, cheered Chief Ndiweni’s actions.
www.newzimbabwevision, says that Chief Ndiweni is one of the most powerful voices in Matebeleland particularly over the marginalisation of Matebeleland by the ruling party, gukurahundi and other issues directly affecting the youth across Matebeland. For those who follow history, they would know that his father the Late Ntabazinduna Chief Khayisa Ndiweni, was in the Lancaster Agreement talks in London in 1979 with others including Gabriel Mugabe, Joshua Nkomo, Solomon Mujuru, Dumso Dabengwa and others involved in the talks leading up to the ceasefire agreement in 1979 and subsequently the end of the white racist Rhodesian Ian Smith regime.
His father, the late Chief Khayisa Ndiweni was one of the most informed people about the history of the Matebeleland province, the war, Zimpra and gukurahundi issues particularly with respect to what Mugabe did or did not do in line with planned or agreed upon issues. It therefore is uneccesarily provocative of the Zanu pf youths to attack the chief. Its not surprising though, considering that President Emmerson Mnangagwa, instigated this through his threats in his public utterances to Chief Ndiweni. Those familiar with Matebelelan issues would rightly see this as the Mnangagwa’s militarised regime’s attempt to drive the angry people of Matebeleland into protests and then use the military to violently crush the uprising while at the same time eliminating Chief Ndiweni, typical of Zanu pf behaviour when it comes to establishing dominance or subjugating people. It is also clear that the Militarised Zanu pf regime, seeks to divert attention from the pressure it has from Nelson Chamisa and the MDC alliance because if the Bulawayo crisis grows any bigger, then the Mnangagwa, militarised regime can immediately institute Emergency powers and ban protests, gatherings, party meetings, ralllies, even enforce curfews and silence the public. ‘You’ve been warned, Zanu pf are eveil, simple!’
According to media reports, CHIEF Nhlanhlayamangwe Ndiweni of Ntabazinduna has been accused of abusing his position to further the agenda of the opposition MDC Alliance with the ruling Zanu-PF party challenging him to step down from the chieftaincy and join mainstream politics.
Apparently angered by the Government’s decision to resettle an indigenous farmer at a property in Ntabazinduna previously occupied by a white family, Chief Ndiweni last week addressed a Press conference in Bulawayo and called for tougher sanctions against Zimbabwe.
Chief Ndiweni sensationally appealed to the international community to escalate sanctions on President Mnangagwa’s Government, claiming it has failed to pursue democracy.
It is understood that before addressing the Press Club, Chief Ndiweni wrote to a number of foreign embassies calling for further sanctions to be imposed on Zimbabwe.
He has also set up a parallel organisation to the Chiefs Council under the banner of College of Amakhosi where he is reportedly seeking to rope in some traditional leaders from Matabeleland and the Midlands provinces.
After the 2018 elections, Chief Ndiweni visited MDC Alliance president Mr Nelson Chamisa to “endorse” the opposition leader despite his defeat in the polls at the hands of President Mnangagwa.
Besides his links with the MDC, Chief Ndiweni has had liaisons with secessionist movement Mthwakazi Republic.
However, the relationship between the two is said to have suffered a temporary knock after Chief Ndiweni and some colleagues visited Mr Chamisa to update him on the “installation” of a Ndebele King who is domiciled in South Africa. source Byo24 Sibusiso Ngwenya.
