Defection by former Cabinet minister Rtd Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri, , first senior Zanu PF leader to leave the Zanu pf ruling party in protest against deposed former president Robert Mugabe’s ouster by the army, is a serious threat to national security.
PRESIDENT EMMERSON MNANGAGWA MUST WARN ANY GENERALS HOPING TO DEFECT , that the military will deal accordingly with them. We accept that we are ‘democratic’ but currently Zimbabwe is under military rule and the defection by former Cabinet minister Rtd Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri, , first senior Zanu PF leader to leave the Zanu pf ruling party in protest against deposed former president Robert Mugabe’s ouster by the army, is a serious threat to national security.
It is alarming to note that Mugabe’s loyalists are mobilising to derail President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s 2018 election bid.
We are aware that former President Robert Mugabe and former First Lady Grace met with former Cabinet minister Rtd Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri and appointed him as the leader of G40 cabal’s new political project the New Patriotic Front (NPF) at the Mugabe family Blue Roof Mansion in Borrowdale on Thursday last week.
If Mnangagwa allows this to stand, it has the potential to derail the new political dispensation, as it will make other senior army officials defect to the G40 camp, attracted by the offer of cash and other wealth bribes along with farms and cabinet posts if they restore the G40, Robert and Grace Mugabe Camp.
Mnangagwa needs to stamp his authority and ban all former G40 members from political activity, ban the New Patriotic Front (NPF) party, and the state should confiscate all property belonging to ormer President Robert Mugabe and former First Lady Grace Mugabe, strip them of diplomatic passports, ban them from political activity, strip them of the Blue roof mansion, 14 Farms that they acquired through the Zanu pf land redistribution programme, property and cash they looted stashed locally, and strip them of immunity from prosecution. The couple should be stripped of vehicles and security and anything funded by the state and forced to live the lives of ordinary Zimbabweans, then maybe they can let us rebyuild Zimbabwe peacefully, because at the present moment, they are still dreaming of going back to statehouse and effectively jeorpoadising national security as they can cause divisions and infighting in all security forces, as those who were forcibly retired from the ZNA, ZRP, CIO, AFZ, Zanu pf militia and other regroup under the umbrella of the New Patriotic Front (NPF) party.
Mnangagwa is a trained lawyer, former Justice Minister and knows how to tighten the noose around these criminals. We cannot risk national security by protecting Mugabe yet allowing him to destabilise the nation with his New Patriotic Front (NPF) party.
Why not ask the couple to walk through Mbare, no security and if they make it to the other end alive, then give them state security, because they really believe they did nothing wrong and they were loved by the people.
Granted many people dislike Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats in charge at the moment, but they are certainly abetter option to Mugabe and the G40, so , if Mnangagwa needs to even effect a 7 day State of Emergency rule, to finish off what he started and control Mugabe and his cabal, then we are all with him as we started the journey together with the operation restore Legacy. Lets do this together then get back to our corners and finish off the battle in a free and fair election , after implementing Electoral reforms.
Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats can still bring the people closer and on their side, with credible efforts such as shutting Mugabe up, banning the G40 /New Patriotic Front (NPF) party, confiscating to the state, all mansions and bank deposits belonging to Kasukuwere, Zhuwao , Moyo and other G40 members in exile with looted national wealth. He has to be as firm and forceful as the Operation restore legacy coup. In my view, don’t ban them from returning, infact wlcome them back, but meanwhile, all allegations against them should be compiled and dossiers of evidence gathered and ready for aswift trial if they set foot in Zimbabwe.
Some people are of the opinion that, if they know its all set up and ready for their return, they will remain in exile for ever and Mnangagwa would have done nothing wrong as he would not have banned them. Just to add a twist to the game, he can trigger an international arrest warrant for them worldwide. That should teach them to shut up and let Zimbabwe, rebuild. They feel that we are in this mess because Mnangagwa, and the generals chose to stage manage it instead of having a typical coup, where the one who falls is either jailed, killed or sent into forced exile, but instead they chose to treat him with kid gloves and as we can see , might have created a forthcoming mess worse than the last 37 years for the struggling Zimbabweans
In their opinion, we the people of Zimbabwe may not like Mnangagwa but he is a better option to Robert, Grace Mugabe and G40 and if it means working with Mnangagwa to ensure they never return,..then ‘Munhu wese kunaEd!/ ‘Everyone with Ed!’ …just a thought!
Its fair to say, that the only time there could be atransition involving the army in apeaceful manner was during Operation Restore Legacy but beyond that, you will have two armed sides and there can only be one side which will win, with countyless innocent civilian victims which is why people suggest that Mugabe must be shut down before he triggers civil war. He has never cared about innocent people when it comes to reaching his objectives, case in point, gukurahundi, murambatsvina, Chiadzwa and white farmer eviction genocides. No security force member behind all those genocides perpetrated by Mugabe, so, he will not hesitate to sacrifice more lives for him to get his wife into power. Any deaths are to the Mugabe’s collateral damage.
Look far ahead and think of the folly of aiding Mugabe to wreck our new found freedom, even though its under military rule, we are at peace. Ask yourself about the Robert Mugabe and Grace Mugabe team, Look Est policy and where the bulk of the loot is stashed. Reading between the lines, Mugabe can literally give the mandate to rogue East states and others where the loot is stashed and they will fund a war, terrorism and anything to bring down the current Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats regime and restore Mugabe and cabal, knowing they will be richly rewarded with land, business, change religion and enforce their culture and lawas upon the Zimbabwe they ‘liberate for Mugabe’
They have interest in doing this because the West which Mnangagwa regime are despearate to rebuild relations with, are not a favourite of the ‘Look East ideologies’. Look far ahead and analyse the real impact of allowing Mugabe to carry on with his ranting and raving without being hauled before the law like any other ordinary citizen.
A country with an unemployment rate ofver 90^, unhappy jobless educated youth, graduate vendors, millions in the diaspora, unhappy soldiers and security forces including CIO, police and militia and much more, is typically breeding grounds for xenophobia, secession, terrorism, civil war and all other disasters that may take generations to correct, once we fall into them. Lest we forget, its just by luck that the Zimbabwe nation did not descend into such horrors over the last 20 years of sufferring, but if Mugabe, Jonathan Moyo, Kasuwere and Patrick Zhuwao continue to spew outh their filth designed to destabilise the nation, nothing will stop the rise of deliberately created entropy to enrich a few wealthy crminals while the rest suffer and die because of the civil wars case in point, look at other African States folding up under such as religious wars, terrorism, civilwars, violence and other horrors including hunger and other. Wake up Zimbabwe,
We cannot sacrifice peace, harmony and national security in the name of ‘democracy’,….the priority is to restore order and rebuild a peaceful, united , equal and progressive society not just for ourselves but for our children and descendants, black, white, coloured, any tribe, race, religion, gender and other. Mugabe must go!
Because we are a peaceful people, Mugabe must be allowed to move freely amongst the people with no security, say 5minutes in Mbare, let the people have their say as its afree world,.Im just saying,,,,,.thats democracy! More news to follow. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
