The white Zimbabwean commercial farmer, Dave Connolly, has explored all options of appeal against losing his Centenary farm in Marula.
Farmer Conolly’s farm has been seized by the deputy Chief Secretary to President Robert Mugabe and cabinet, thus officially atop aide to the despot leader, Dr Ray Ndhlukula and legitimised by the High Court in one of the most controversial farm take overs ever in Zimbabwe.
Dr Ray Ndhlukula, disobeyed a High court order granting farmer Connolly the right to remain on his farm.
Mugabe’s top aide declared to Conolly that , whites have no right to the ownership of land in Zimbabwe hence farmer Conolly only awaits final eviction as thousands of other white commercial farmers have faced in the Zanu PF war veteran led evictions.
The ‘white’ commercial farmer Connolly’s father once won the country’s Best Bull Award for his superb pedigree, Hereford bull, at the once prominent Bulawayo Agricultural Show.
His son, now facing eviction, farmer Connolly is, in Zimbabwe, the only keeper of a priced pedigree herd of Hereford and Senepols breeds, meaning, the controversial takeover by Mugabe’s right hand man, Dr Ray Ndhlukula meaning the beasts will ultimately face slaughter as the takeover bid is sealed.
This is not the first time that Mugabe’s aide, deputy Chief Secretary to President Robert Mugabe and cabinet, Dr Ray Ndhlukula has been dragged into controversy, after recently being rejected by Britain as Zimbabwe’s Ambassador designate , in succession to , Gabriel Machinga, the former Zimbabwe’s Education minister.
Centenary farm is actually an accumulation of land as Dr Ray Ndhlukula reportedly owns two other farms in Matabeleland South province, namely Wilfred Hope Farm in Marula, and Vlakfontein farm, known as Subdivision 2 of Marula Block.
Connolly’s occupation of Centenary farm was ruled by High Court judge Justice Joseph Musakwa, in April 2016 to be an occupation of gazetted land, compulsorily acquired by the State in 2000 in the controversial and murderous white farmer evictions, which crashed a once successful agriculture, once the back bone of the economy, turning Zimbabwe from the Bread basket of Africa feeding a whole continent into a charity case for aid.
To the Discerning eye, it is obvious that the US$15 Billion thief, Mugabe, Zim 1 family, Zanu PF stalwarts, securocrats and top aides have benefited from the deliberately created entropy, through multiple farm ownership.
Only a week ago, newzimbabwevision reported that Mugabe’s Zanu PF regime had issued 18 000 families with eviction notices from farms in the Midlands province and they should vacate the farms immediately since they are deemed illegal settlers .
