Some people argue that off hand, President Mnangagwa and Vice President RTD Gen Chiwenga, have always been behind the oppressive Zanu pf, and a visit to Tsvangirai marks the end of MDC T opposition in Zimbabwe.

Wide spread opinion is that, Mnangagwa is a tactical man who has always been behind the oppressive Zanu pf, party, stalwarts and securocrat oppression of the people.

They feel that, this visit was a publicity stunt by the two Zanu pf stalwarts to show the international world, a side they are not familiar with, a caring Zanu pf leadership.

This to many Zimbabweans this is an opportunity for Mnangagwa to offer Tsvangirai a sweet retirement from politics deal by offering him a generous retirement package as an ex prime Minister, and ensuring that he rests and forgets politics once government commit to his welfare, security, housing, private office, vehicles and air travel, something akin to what was given to Mugabe but not as much, yet enough to take him out of politics and weaken the threat from opposition.

If this happens and is acceptable to Tsvangirai, Mnangagwa would have given an image of a progressive leader keen on turning Zimbabwe’s economy around and rebuilding the nation for the people.

With a totally dead opposition and a seemingly progressive Mnangagwa, we can just expect there will be several gullible international financiers throwing in funds, along with opportunist states seeking to milk arising opportunities and as jobs are created and other developments happen, most gullible Zimbabweans will see Mnangagwa as the most viable option to vote for in the 2018 ballot.

As soon as this happens, its a guaranteed victory by Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats and with a five year mandate, we can then forget removing Zanu pf for along time to come. Mnangagwa being the man beside Mugabe from the sixties when Zanu became a credible force, will never reform Zanu pf out of power, so all that is happening is just amedia stunt,..wake up Zimbabwe!

Go and register to vote on the BVR. The rural areas must be opened up to activist campaigns and voter education, while all government institutions must be demilitarised from the highest authority down to the most basic structure in the rural areas for example the herdman.

Zec must be demilitarised and registrar General Tobaiwa must be retired and replaced with anon partisan figure to handle voter registration.

The diaspora Zimbabweans numbering close to six million and whom mnangagwa knows very well are against Zanu pf continued stay in power, must be allowed to vote worldwide at embassies.

Draconian laws like AIPPA and POSA must be removed, Sadc, AU and UN must be brought in to monitor the 2018 ballot.

Mnangagwa must accept to put in place Electoral Reforms agreed upon and signed up to by party principals including Morgan Tsvangirai (MDC T) and Welshman Ncube (MDC) with the help of former South African President Thabo Mbeki.

All Zimbabweans must consider these issues before trusting in Mnangagwa’s aim to turn around the nation for the people. Don’t forget that President Emmerson Mnangagwa just before Christmas at the 17 the Zanu pf Annual December Conference, declared that Zanu pf intends to establish a media house to counter what it calls an increasingly hostile independent media.

He went on to say that Zanu pf will shortly set up community radio station across all provinces and provide particularly rural masses an additional platform for Zanu pf to involve the people in national and other political developments.

We know very well that for along time Independent operators have always constantly been denied the right to set up television and radio stations by Zanu pf in order to silence freedom of expression and channel state propaganda through ZBC and this is one of the reasons why AIPPA and POSA were put in place by Jonathan Moyo and they effectively crushed independant media, caused arbitrary arrests of activists and journalists, and the torture of anyone foolish enough to dabble in media. Many unfortunate victims were sent into forced exile across the diaspora and it was ok with Mnangagwa then,..wake up Zimbabwe!
