A WOMAN allegedly chopped off her one-year-old daughter’s head with an axe before attempting to commit suicide by stabbing herself with a knife. Keresia Hlabangana, 32, of Sivukwe area in Lupane district, allegedly breastfed her baby before decapitating her on Saturday. A witchdoctor from Lupane has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after he raped his seven year-old daughter. The 45-year-old father, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the minor, will however serve an effective 18 years after the magistrate suspended two years on conditions.
