Gumbo, a Mnangagwa favourite, ordered the Caaz to award a US$33,3 million tender to Indra Sistemas and Homt Espana SA for the finance, supply and installation of an airspace management system without going to tender as required by law in Zimbabwe.
MINISTER JORAM GUMBO, a Mnangagwa favourite, actually ordered the Caaz to award a US$33,3 million project tender to Indra Sistemas and Homt Espana SA for the finance, supply and installation of an airspace management system without going to tender as required by law in Zimbabwe.

Ideally, Gumbo should have long been arrested but because he is one of Mnangagwa’s favourites, he was actually included in a recent trip by Mnangagwa and other delegates to South Africa.

Mnangagwa’s claim to be dealing with corruption yet turning a blind eye on such obvious misuse of office by Minister gumbo, reflects an element of selective justice because Gumbo belongs to the Mnangagwa Lacoste faction.

The only powerful figure netted so far by Mnangagwa’s anti corruption drive is Mugabe’s cousin a G40 Grace Mugabe faction member, the former Home Affairs Minister Ignatius Chombo. More news to follow. By Sibusiso Ngwenya.
