FORMER president RG Mugabe has been given the majestic ZIM-1 car, a a bulletproof, blast-proof US$1,6 million Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman Guard limousine, now with registration plates (AAX 3270).
FORMER president RG Mugabe has been given the majestic ZIM-1 car, a a bulletproof, blast-proof US$1,6 million Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman Guard limousine, now with registration plates (AAX 3270).The deposed former president Robert Mugabe, would regularly use the vehicle on official duties but he was ousted in acoup that placed him under house arrest in November 2017.
The luxury car is bulletproof and blast-proof car valued at approximately US$1,6 million. Although the vehicle was officially registered as ZIM-1, it will now be fitted with civilian registration plates (AAX 3270). The Mercedes-Benz S600 has been parked at his home most of the time since he was removed from office as he has also reduced his travels to his Zvimba rural home. The government will cover fuel costs on his vehicles.
Although he is still protected by the state, the security detail around him has been drastically reduced with a few soldiers at his ‘Blue roof mansion
