SHOCKING: 259 bottles of bottled water from 19 locations in 9 countries had plastic pollution, and only 17 bottles were found free of microplastic pollution.
SHOCKING evidence of micro plastic pollution has shown that over 90% of bottled water brands are polluted with tiny pieces or micro plastics. It has been found after 259 bottles of bottled water from 19 locations in 9 countries were tested and only 17 bottles were found free of microplastic pollution. Two of the tested brands are found in the UK.
A total of 259 bottles taken from 19 locations from nine countries, US, Mexico, China,Thailand, Kenya , Lebanon, Brazil, India and Indonesia involving 11 different brands of bottled water revealed shocking results, with an average of 325 plastic particles in every litre of water being sold to innocent consumers. Out of the 259 bottles, only 17 bottles were found free of microplastic pollution.
This is an alarming revelation , showing a high level of micro plastics pollution in bottled drinking water andthe World Health Organisation (WHO) is seriously considering the implications on health and public safety of these findings on microplastic pollution in bottled water.
Dirty water supplies have led to the consumption of the various bottled brands of drinking water by many , as a cleaner source of drinking water. A new reserch into micro plastics in bottled water has shown an alarming level of plastic pollution in our environment , which we ingest and are also exposed to, in life. The tests have shown researchers that one average there were 10 large particles of micro plastics per litre, each , measuring the width of a hair and 314 smaller particles per litre of bottled water.
There are calls for the public not to panic including as there are no rules yet on micro plastics. Researchers have at the same time said that the plastic particles within bottled water is double what a previous study of tap water had shown.
The brands of bottled water that were tested in the research were: Evian (Danone), Aqua (Danone), Gerolsteiner (Gerolsteiner Brunnen), Aquafina (PepsiCo) , Bisleri (Bisleri International), Dasani (Coca-Cola), Epura (PepsiCo), Minalba (Grupo Edson Queiroz), Wahaha (Hangzhou Wahaha Group), Nestlé Pure Life (Nestlé), and San Pellegrino (Nestlé) .
Red flags are being raised by the consumers over plastic contamination in bottled water because , as customers, they are paying a premium for these products yet exposed to pollution through microplastics.

It is important for everyone to step up in a united fight against plastic pollution and shun the production, sale and distribution of plastics and other non bio degradable products worldwide as its clear, the world is on the verge of reaching an irreversible level of microplastic pollution. You may be thinking that you eat healthy because you eat fish and other marine products, but its self defeating if you throw plastics out at sea, and drink microplastic polluted bottled water and consume the same fish that you have fed with microplastics. Its clear that human being wrecklessness or indifference over plastic pollution , has finally come home to roost as you can all see that we have alarming levels in our water, the air we breathe, the food chain and all around us.
The first world opinion is that, like in the USA, the world should focus on cartooned water. Cartoons can be made biodegradable and less damaging to the climate, by cutting down on plastics pollution.
Its obvious to the public that plastics pollution is a big threat to the human race if mishandled as, to the people, if drinking water is polluted, then the same applies in drinks and other liquids that we are exposed to, including tap water,..how shocking!
