THE FACE OF AFRICA IS SWIFTLY CHANGING, now with another African leader Ethiopia’s PM Hailemariam Desalegn in surprise resignation

Just 90 days after the forced resignation of Zimbabwe’s former president Robert Mugabe, and two days after the resignation of South Africa’s president Jacob Zuma, yet again another African leader the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Hailemariam Desalegn, has resigned unexpectedly, after leading Ethiopia since 2012

He claimed in an address to the nation that his resignation is “vital in an effort to establish reforms that would lead to sustainable peace and democracy” and help to end years of unrest and political upheaval in the country.

The political strife in the region had led to the deaths of hundreds of people over three years of nationwide anti-government protests since 2015 demanding amongst other things, political and economic reform and an end to state corruption, a common theme across Africa which is forcing leaders from so called ‘SH*THOLE’ countries.

Ethiopia was under a 10-month national state of emergency till the end of 2017.

Hailemariam a trained engineer, will remain the caretaker prime minister until Ethiopia’s parliament and ruling coalition accept his resignation and choose a replacement for him.

One by one African leaders, who have remained at the help of their governments while denying their people, democracy, peace and much needed economic reforms and allowing corruption to become the norm of society are falling.

The new wave of African leader removals, kicked in with the peaceful forced removal of former Zimbabwe’s leader Robert Mugabe from office by the military and the people of Zimbabwe, South Africa’s president Jacob Zuma, and now the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Hailemariam Desalegn.

At this rate of the African leaders with no foreign intervention and no guns by their own people we could swiftly see a new, peaceful United Africa, with unity, justice and reforms that create democracy, equal opportunities, employment, health, housing, education and proseperity for all, without foreign intervention. Zimbabwe can proudly say today, we started the wave of removal of African leaders and all I can say is somewhere out there people are celebrating that so called ‘Sh*thole countries’ are finally pushing out the source of their suffering which are their own leaders standing between poverty and secure healthy, peaceful and prosperous lives.
