TRIBALISM IN ZIMBABWE is fuelled by the divisionalist naming of provinces, such as, Matabeleland, Manicaland and Mashonaland and others, which instantly identifies a province as belonging to a particular tribe.

TRIBALISM IN ZIMBABWE is fuelled by the divisionalist naming of provinces, such as, Matabeleland, Manicaland and Mashonaland and others, which instantly identifies a province as belonging to a particular tribe. It is quite unfortunate because Zimbabwe is a nation made up of many tribes, with the new constitution officially recognising 16 languages as national languages.

It is such a shame in Zimbabwe that we have a few tribes and the problem is actually between Shonas and Ndebele and has continuously destroyed any hope of progress, while just next door, Zambia has 70 different tribes with a wide cultural diversity but they live peacefully in harmonius coexistence. The main tribes in Zambia are the Lozi, the Bemba, the Ngoni, the Tonga, the Luvale, and the Kaonde.

Furthermore, it does not help that we continue to be dragged back by the Unity Accord between Zanu and Zapu in December 1987 , which gives the false image that the country ‘s leadership is to be divided between Shonas and Ndebeles, thereby ignoring at leas 14 other tribes who can all equally contribute to the development and leadership of Zimbabwe, but they sit back and opt to watch, the problematic and noisy Shona and Ndebele tribes whosee hatred of each other is primarily the reason, Mugabe managed to rule for 37 years by cunningly using a divide and rule tactic to his advantage.

Zimbabweans should wake and realise that as long as they remain divided on tribal lines, Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats will be the winners.

Just look at what is happening right now and if you are wise enough, you will note that Mnangagwa is not necessarily a by not doing anything tangible at the moment. He is waiting for the right moment in the run up to elections as the harmonised elections draw closer, to start doing things that will be remebered by the electorate during the election as credited to Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats regime, because he knows if these things are done early they may soon be forgotten about especially when it comes to voting.

At the moment, Mnangagwa’s priority is a charm offensive with the international world as he pushes to re engage the Global village, in his ‘Zimbabwe is open for business stance’

He is well aware that he needs the blessings of the international world to pull off a victory in the 2018 harmonised elections, so he will throw in the winning cards last minute, when it matters the most in the campaign, thats why Mnangagwa, Zanu pf and securocrats are not at all engaged in campaigning at the moment.

It is likely that, as we approach elections, a challenge to Chamisa’s unconstitutional rise to power, will be swifted by the Mnangagwa regime, through courts and if there is a reason for ruling in favour of the Khuphe, Gutu, Bhebhe side, then the Zanu pf aligned Judges will do so, effectively destroying MDC T or the MDC Alliance hopes of victory as the electorate will by then be seeing a better set up Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats regime. Wake up Zimbabwe!

MDC Alliance president Nelson Chamisa a few days ago announced that to a Chiweshe gathering the call for sanctions is part of their MDC Alliance strategy to remove Mnangagwa regime from power, adding that if they are voted into power then USA will remove the sanctions. The MDC Alliance promised villagers, bullet trains and aeroplanes but observers were clearly alarmed by the MDC Alliance promises championed by Chamisa, clealy a campaign strategy of promises that are likely never to materialise. They were concerned at such promises yet the legislators had brought nothing to their own constituencies.

The admission by Nelson Chamisa that his trip with Tendai Biti to USA was to strengthen calls for USA to maintain sanctions and is a strategy to remove the militarised Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwart and securocrat regime from power, when he addressed a rally in Chiweshe adding that sanctions will only be removed if they vote them into power is a major threat to the future of the MDC Alliance and Nelson Chamisa’s leadership of the MDC T, let alone the future of MDC T.

The recent call by Chamisa and Biti in USA for ontinued imposition of sanctions on Zimbabwe by the United States of America even under the new dispensation
will come back to bite if the electorate are assured by Mnangagwa’s efforts to reconnect Zimbabwe, with the developed world, open up Zimbabwe for business, clamp down on corruption and other critical issues such as the removal of the police from roads, freedom and peace for all, the recent purchase of locomotives for NRZ, though diesel, obviously pollutants, is to the voters, a more credible and tested effort at regenerating the economy.

I’d hazard a guess and say, Mnangagwa will most likely towards election, bring back the Zimbabwe dollar, and flood cash into banks, give pay rises to teachers, nurses, doctors and other civil servants including the police and military in his campaign strategy to win the voter’s hearts. The MDC Alliance, while promising bullet trains to Chiweshe villagers is bordering on the verge of lying to the people. I say so, because I have lived in a highly advanced First world country, Britain, for the last 18 years and Britain which has had trains for over 100 years, still hasn’t managed to introduce bullet trains, yet Nelson Chamisa’s campaign strategy is to promise bullet trains and an airport to Chiweshe,…come Wake up Zimbabwe!

Zimbabwean citizens are clearly being coerced into voting for the MDC Alliance by individuals including MDC T president and MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa’s threat that sanctions will only be removed if the people vote for them.
In his own words, Chamisa said “f we get into power we will achieve many things. We saw the US talking about it saying sanctions will help us to remove the current government,”

If the MDC Alliance fails to vote Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats out of power in the harmonised 2018 elections, because voters choose to exercise their democratic right to vote aparty of their choice into power, it will strongly remind the people of Zimbabwe that the MDC T is actually behind the imposition of economic sanctions on Zimbabwe , the suffering and damage to Zimbabwe and permanantly damaging to Nelson Chamisa’s MDC Alliance, MDC T leadership and the very existence of the MDC T party beyond 2018 as this will be an iconic failure by an opposition , now twenhty years in place to fail to remove Zanu pf from Mugabe.
Lest you forget, MDC T were party to the Government of National Unity (GNU) of 2008 to 2013 which failed to implement Electoral Reforms already signed up to by party principals including Mugabe with the help of former SA president Thabo Mbeki.

Remember that Nelson Chamisa fought constitutional expert Professor Lovemore Madhuku and Mr Caleb Mucheche who represented two Zuva managers where Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku and four other judges, sitting as a Supreme Court, unanimously ruled in favour of the Zuva company, setting off a nationwide labour crisis countrywide because hundreds lost their jobs because of the supreme court ruling, courtesy Nelson Chamisa.

It is a major concern for the people that whether in his capacity as a lawyer for example the Zuva deal or as an MDC T leader in calling for Western sanctions, Zimbabweans have suffered en-mass,…vote wisely!

Remember the man behind the colllapse of the Zimbabwe dollar, the former Reserve bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) governor Gideon Gono was represented in court by the GNU MDC T Secretary general and Zimbabwe’s Finance Minister Tendai Biti yet today the sam Tendai Biti along with the same Nelson Chamisa , who together went on to visit the USA and call for extended economic sanctions, on the back of the people’s suffering proudly say vote for us and sanctions will be removed by USA,..vote wisely!

Remember professor Lovemore Madhuku, is representing Mugabe’s cousin, Ignatious Chombo, the former Home Affairs Minister and former Minister of Local Government, who is on bail for corruption. Ignatious Chombo, is one of the first people arrested by the army during the operation Restore Legitimacy coup, and was found with US$10 million hardcash in his house, yet, just like Tendai Biti and Nelson Chamisa, he is one of the people who at voting time turns around and alleges corruption by the people he represents as a lawyer and asks the people to vote for him against corruption. Madhuku is also standing in the 2018 balot,..vote wisely!
